Introducing new Husqvarna K 6500 – powerful, efficient and easy to use

24/02/2017

We proudly present the new Husqvarna K 6500 – with magnesium blade guard, improved water system and increased cutting depth. “With this updated version of our popular Husqvarna K 6500, we continue the tradition of providing users with professional and powerful performance”, says Johan Simonsson, Global Product Manager Power Cutters, Husqvarna Construction Products.

Husqvarna’s unique power cutter range stands out and has always offered machines with different power sources; petrol, electric, air and hydraulic. New K 6500, like the original K 6500, is equipped with high frequency PRIME ™ technology, making it our most powerful electric cutter ever. It can be used with the power packs Husqvarna PP 65, PP 220 or PP 490.

New magnesium blade guard

A very important, new feature on all new K 6500 cutters is the magnesium blade guard, that is easy to adjust. The update from steel to magnesium due to stepless adjustments makes it easier to change cutting position. In addition, the magnesium blade guard gives an increased cutting depth – now up to 155 mm. Another benefit with the new blade guard is its light weight which contributes to an improved power-to-weight ratio.

”Changing from steel to magnesium further increases the already existing benefits of our K 6500 – powerful perfomance, ergonomic design and efficiency on the job”, says Johan Simonsson.

Improved water system

Besides the magnesium blade guard, another big update is the improved water system, which facilitates the job for the user on all levels. Blade guard nozzles, enlarged water housing and a brass connector for incoming water all contribute to the reliability and efficiency of the cutter.

The new K 6500 also comes with a riveted serial numbered metal plate.
